Pilot Testing Offers Practice Opportunity for Apprentices

The PHCC Educational Foundation is seeking volunteers to participate in pilot testing for the new series of plumbing assessment tests, which are being offered through NOCTI. Do you have an apprentice school affiliated with your chapter? If so, this is a great opportunity to provide your apprentices exposure to the exams in a practice setting.

A total of 120 apprentices are needed (30 for each year). The tests will be ready for administration the week of November 17, but can be arranged around your school schedule to some extent. Tests can be taken in pencil-and-paper or online versions. The results of these tests will be used to develop cut scores for the finalized tests and to help eliminate “bad” questions that may be in the tests. Each test will be 100 questions in length in the final version, but NOCTI may want to have all questions answered (closer to 200) in the pilot testing so the entire question pool can be evaluated.

If you are interested in this opportunity, contact Merry Beth Hall at hall@naphcc.org. Please provide the number of apprentices for each year and indicate when testing would be convenient for your school. Volunteers will be taken on a first come, first served basis until full.
